Horma Canyon is a canyon located in the Pınarbaşı district of Kastamonu, famous for its natural beauty and impressive hiking trails. Küre Mountains, which was selected as one of the priority areas for protecting European forests by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in 1998, was accepted as 'Turkey's Gift to the World' within the framework of the Living Planet Campaign. It represented Turkey at the Rio+20 Conference by receiving the "Best Practice Award" from the Ministry of Development; and was awarded the "Platinum Wilderness Certificate" by the European Wilderness Society, headquartered in Austria, in 2019. The wooden walking platform that extends along the canyon offers visitors the opportunity to explore nature safely. Vertical rock walls, deep valleys and impressive water currents are the most striking features of the region. Ilıca Waterfall, located at the end of the canyon, offers visitors a unique view with its cool waters and natural pools. Küre Mountains National Park is one of the most important biosphere reserve areas of Turkey and is a region worth exploring for nature lovers with its rich flora and fauna. It is a natural wonder with its waterfalls, caves, deep valleys and lakes. The national park is an ideal destination for those who want to do hiking, camping, photography and nature observation. Attention Some points of the national park are dangerous due to difficult terrain conditions and the presence of wildlife.

Kastamonu Museum, which displays the history and cultural heritage of Kastamonu, welcomes its visitors in a historical building built in 1910. In addition to various works from the Hittite, Phrygian, Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine periods, the museum also includes works from the Candaroğulları Principality and the Ottoman period. In a small section, various items and tools used by President Gazi Mustafa Kemal during his Kastamonu trip in 1925 are exhibited together. The museum, which consists of archaeology and ethnography sections, exhibits important works from the region's thousands of years of history. In the archaeology section of the museum, sculptures, sarcophagi, ceramics and coins from the Hittite, Phrygian, Roman and Byzantine periods obtained from excavations carried out in Kastamonu and its surroundings can be seen. In the ethnography section, traditional Kastamonu clothes, hand-woven carpets, copper embroidery, wooden artwork and daily life items from the Ottoman and Republican periods are exhibited. There is also a special collection introducing Kastamonu's famous wood carving tradition. The museum is open every day of the week between 08:30 and 17:30.
