Gallipoli Peninsula Historical National Park
Located in Çanakkale, the Gallipoli Peninsula Historical National Park is an important area that keeps the memory of the Battle of Çanakkale alive. Çanakkale Epic Promotıon Center
This modern center located within the national park conveys the spirit and importance of the Battle of Çanakkale with interactive exhibitions and audiovisual presentations. Visitors can learn the strategic points of the war and the stories of the soldiers in detail. In 11 separate animation rooms, some of which have moving platforms, important sections of the Battle of Çanakkale are conveyed to the visitor with a 65-minute video presentation. In addition, narration is provided in 7 different languages with headphones (English, German, French, Russian, Japanese, Italian and Arabic) for foreign visitors. It offers an unforgettable experience for those who want to witness history and feel the atmosphere of that period.
The Madame Tussauds Museum, located on Istiklal Street in the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul, is the 21st branch of the famous wax museum found in many cities around the world. Opened in 2016, the museum displays approximately 60 wax figures, including prominent figures from Turkish and world history, singers, actors, athletes, politicians and scientists. Among the famous figures you can see at the museum are Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent, Mevlana, Fatih Sultan Mehmet, Madonna, Brad Pitt, and Leonardo DiCaprio. The exhibition, which offers its visitors a unique experience by allowing them to take photos with wax figures of famous names they may never meet in real life, is a great entertainment and cultural activity. The museum is open every day of the week between 10:00 and 20:00 and the visit takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. It is also located very close to Taksim Square.
Basilica Cistern, also known as "Yerebatan Sarnıcı" (Sunken Cistern) or "Yerebatan Sarayı" (Sunken Palace), is a Byzantine cistern with a majestic atmosphere located in the Sultanahmet area of Istanbul. Built by the Byzantine Emperor Justinian I in the 6th century, the Basilica Cistern is the largest covered cistern in Istanbul. The cistern is located very close to Topkapi Palace and Hagia Sophia. In the past, the Ottoman Empire maintained the Cistern, which provided water to Topkapi Palace where the Ottoman Sultans lived for 400 years. The Basilica Cistern, also used for scenes in the famous James Bond film "From Russia with Love", is a unique structure with its mysterious atmosphere. The cistern is supported by a total of 336 columns, each 9 meters high. Two of these columns carry Medusa's head at their base.
