Green Tomb & Tophane Clock Tower

Green Tomb

One of the symbols of Bursa, the Green Tomb is the mausoleum of Ottoman Sultan Çelebi Mehmet. Built in the 15th century, this elegant structure takes its name from the turquoise tiles decorating its exterior. The tomb, which looks single-story when viewed from the outside, has two floors, including the hall where the coffins are located and the barrel-vaulted tomb chamber below it. The detailed tile work and decorations inside the tomb are one of the most beautiful examples of Ottoman art.

Tophane Clock Tower

Located in the historic Tophane district of Bursa, the Clock Tower is one of the important structures remaining from the Ottoman period. This tower, where you can watch the panoramic view of the city, is a pleasant place to visit with its historical atmosphere and surrounding park. It is also located in the area where the tombs of Ottoman sultans Osman Gazi and Orhan Gazi are located.
