Bolu Museum is an important cultural center that displays the rich archaeological and ethnographic history of the region. The museum is notable for its more than 1,500 artifacts from the Hittite, Phrygian, Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman periods. Sarcophagi, statues, coins and objects of daily life are exhibited in the archaeology section of the museum, while clothes, handicrafts and ornaments reflecting traditional Bolu culture can be seen in the ethnography section. Those who want to witness the history and cultural heritage of Bolu can visit the museum every weekday between 08:30 and 17:30.
