Kuşadası Fortress

One of the symbols of Kuşadası, Güvercinada Castle impresses its visitors with its historical texture and fascinating view. Güvercinada Castle, which covers the entire Güvercinada, is located on a natural rock. Its history dates back to the Genoese who came to Kuşadası in the late 13th or early 14th century, and was renovated during the Ottoman Empire. Since the island was used as an outpost against pirates during the Ottoman period, it is also known as the Pirate Castle. Güvercinada is located in the middle of the sea and is connected to the mainland by a walking path. Offering a unique view at sunset, the castle offers an unforgettable experience for both history and nature enthusiasts.
