Day 1

Day 1: Meeting with the Ancient Heritage of Ephesus (Istanbul → Izmir)

You will be transferred from your hotel in Istanbul to the airport at approximately 7 am. After your flight from Istanbul to Izmir, you will be welcomed at Izmir Airport and reach Ephesus with a journey of approximately one hour.

Your tour starts in the Ancient City of Ephesus. The Library of Celsus, the Great Theater and ancient streets introduce you to the splendor of the Roman period. Then you visit the House of the Virgin Mary, then discover the ruins of the Temple of Artemis and the Isa Bey Mosque. You will see a panoramic view of Seljuk Castle.

You will go to a local restaurant for lunch. Here, you will taste the flavors of Aegean cuisine and take a break where traditional Turkish handmade carpets are introduced. At the end of the day, you will be transferred to your hotel and given free time.
